In the UK, it is party conference season. A pointless annual pantomime where the party faithful, turn up at decrepit English seaside towns, left to rot by decades of blindness by every Government since 1979, to fall asleep whilst listening to political platitudes and so much hot air, that the climate changes in front of your eyes. This year, the impossible has happened, it is even worse. The Labour Party have decided to hold a ‘virtual conference’. Never has there been so much wastage of a bandwidth.
Annelise Dodds is a Labour MP and Shadow Chancellor. She is a woman who wishes to be in Government as Chancellor of the Exchequer proper. On Monday, she did her turn in front of the camera and told us that Labour is now the party of “economic responsibility” and will be “tougher” than Boris Johnson and his Hellfire Club of psychopaths, currently dragging the UK into the North Sea, to drown slowly by an abandoned Oilfield, on public spending.
